Edificio Aguamarina information.

Post by apto541 on Thu May 29, 2008 5:55 pm

Hola everyone
hope you are all well.
Sorry i have not posted anything for a long time but i had to be carefull with the court case going on etc.
Many people have asked me why the agenda for the 2008 is so short on content especially with many things needing to be done on the building.
The answer is that i have been in negotiations with the administrator and Jacamar representatives trying to sort out what needs doing.
The Jacamar representative has promised me that the works will be done that i have requested. The owners will not be paying 1 cent towards the costs of the works.
It will all be done under guarentee.
If the works are not carried out as promised, other measures will be taken i can assure you.
As i write the rubbish bins at the front of the building are being housed in a shed type building with a roof and sliding doors and a tiled interior.
The wall on the east side of the building next to the car park has been completly re-painted after 6 months of waiting.
The swimming pool will be emptied on Monday 2nd June at 2pm, the damaged lining will be replaced the following day.
For three days June 2nd 3rd and 4th no one will be able to use the pool but i have negotiated with Jacamar to allow anyone from the edificio to use the facilities in the new building next door. I will put a notice up to warn people. (this is not an all inclusive offer so donīt expect free drinks).
The sewage pipe that was diverted into our edificio from the new building next door has been capped off.
The unoccupied apartments in the building will be cleaned up along with the gardens and the painting on the walls on floors 5,6 and 7 where the water has damaged the paintwork will be done also.
So as you can see works are being carried out as i write. The only thing i ask from you is a little bit of patience as everything can not possibly be done at once but i will keep you all posted. There are numerous jobs that need to be done to bring the edificio up to scratch and they will be done. Many changes will take place over the comming months which i will outline at the AGM in any other business. I hope you can now see why i did not put certain things onto the agenda as i think they could well have been seen to be demanding when a little bit of dialogue in the background has worked so far.
I look forward to all your replies to this post so i can gauge what a lot of peoples opinions are on anything with regard to the building.
So all you AGUAMARINITES lets get this forum going again especially after all the hard work that Daz has put in to get it going.
Come on Pam look forward to your reply.
Kind Regards
Tommy

OK Tommy you were waiting for a reply so here it is. It is absolutely terrific to hear that things are now getting sorted with many thanks to you and Wendy for the hardwork you have done to get us to this point. There may be a lot of catch up to do but by golly things to me seem to be full steam ahead now.

I know there are a lot of pressing things that need to be done before but may I add a couple of things for the future. I would welcome some comments on these from anybody. So come on guys let us have your comments on what you would like to see done. Make our complex really start to look great. Don't just leave it for a few people to sort out. We can all contribute.

Would it be possible (as I say in the future) to have signs put up in the garage area to say what level and floor you are on.

The little fountain outside. Is it possible for that to be connected and working at some stage. I think it would enhance the area.

I am so pleased the gardens of the unoccupied apartments are going to be cleaned up. They look in such a sorry state and it would look better for the people who own apartments on the side who look down on them.

The swimming pool area looks rather bear compared to say next door now. Has anybody got any suggestions how this could be improved?

Tommy what is the position of the office at the front. Does it still belong to the developer and if it does what does he want to do with it?

OK then - I have started. All your comments welcome. Lets now get the ball rolling.

would it be possible to have the main agm in the middle of the year and have the bi annual meeting in january as it would be much easier to attend meetings that were not so close to the christmas time.

also if the builder does not own the office at the front of the building and is using it are we charging him rent.

can we get the locks on the outside doors changed so that one key operates this will cut down on the bunch i carry

what is happening with the heating system in the main pool
